I don’t have a lot of before photos, I hated getting my photo taken. If you look closely at the smiles in these photos, they are “cheese, hurry up and take the picture smiles”, they are not genuine, they are not joyful. I honestly didn’t feel any true joy back then.

Eating was ruining my life, but yet it was all I wanted to do.  Everything else I had to do in between eating was an inconvenience. That’s the saddest part, eating was the reason I was unhappy, but it was also the only thing I wanted to do to numb the pain and reality of my situation.

Today my life is perfectly imperfect and I am all in. I am present and participating. To live a normal, but beautiful, life is something I never thought would be possible for someone like me. I am extremely grateful everyday.
